That's in Missouri; I'm sure it's called different things in different places. In MO you don't have to pay the fine, they basically suspend the ticket for 6 months or a year, then pull your driving record at the end. If you have another violation on your record, you're automatically guilty of the first ticket as well and have to pay the fine and get the points. If not, they throw it away.
