They did 2 things that I can see from when we had my car in the air at SZ. 1 -- there is a HUGE piece of square channel iron (may be solid, but could just be hollow square with the ends sealed) along the inside of the body pinch line underneath the car - - this is usually where you jack the car up from -- they then welded this to a section just behind the front wheels where they boxed in the subframe. I will try to take some pics the next time I have mine in the air. The only real issue I have seen is the seal at the rear portion of the window is usually off about 1/4", so it's a little loud over 75mph, but easily fixed with a small piece of rubber & rubber adhesive (probably an oversight). The top closes really smoothly (for the hydraulic power top) & I have not had any issues with it, the top is still original from 1990 & holding strong. The handling feels just like my old T-Top TT's -- even in the canyons, very little body flex at all. Works great on the track. IMHO -- light years beyond the flabby NA vert, not to mention it comes with all the TT goodies like the HICAS, the dual adjustable suspension, the TT rear end, etc... that have to be (if you want them) upgraded on an NA car when doing a TT swap.
Just my $0.02
