specificly using redline. Most of the other big brands have been around for years with no problems, even if they are dino oil. I use valvoline not b/c its the 'best in the world' oil, but b/c its quality oil at a good price. And, I know I change the oil every 2000-2500 miles. If its black, then its too used for me. I shoot for changing oil when its just starting to get brownish.
