Subject	Can I shorten a Driveshaft?

Message	I ordered a Z1 Platinum driveshaft from an online consignment store. The listing said that the driveshaft was for a 2 seat twin turbo. I got the driveshaft, and found that is was for a 2+2, but with fittings for a TT rear end. The consignee was inaccurate about the description. My question is: Could I just have the driveshaft cut to the proper length and rewelded to fit my TT? How much would something like that cost, and what type of place would do that? I would need someone close to the greater Cincinnati area.
