Message First of hello and welcome to TT.net I have a few recommendations that can hopefully help you out. Firs off what happened to your engine? Just FYI this is where things can get expensive. Are you looking for just a used stock engine to replace yours to keep you going, are you looking for something that can handle more power, or are you just looking to have it rebuilt to stock specifications to ensure years of trouble free driving?

If you are looking for a used engine try here [ http://www.weberbrothersauto.com/ ] according to there web page they have an engine out of a 96TT and its priced relatively reasonable considering what good 96TT engines usually sell for from salvage yards. They are in PA so you might be able to just pick it up if it’s not to far away.

Or

If you want a powerhouse engine or just a fresh rebuild you can’t go wrong with Kyle at import parts pro. He is a great guy who delivers an excellent product and has been building Z engines for over 10 years. This option may cost you more then a used engine but if you’re planning on keeping the Z for a long time consider this an investment.

I can’t say anything bad about Specialty Z either they are also very good at what they however freight will more than likely cost you more to CA then it will to TX.

Well that’s my two cents. Take care
