Message	As already mentioned, you need quality grounds... same size wire as your +12V power wire. I assume the diming is with the car running? Your alternator is what's supplying the power when the car is running. Assuming the car's electrical wiring is intact and good health, you may need a rebuild on the alt or an upgraded unit all together "Too dumb for opera, too smart for NASCAR."
