The 3" stainless resonator is much smaller then the 2.5" non-stainless resonator and is a bunch louder but probably doesn't drone. I think the 3" dual tip muffler is louder than the 3" single tip muffler. I posted noise test results several years ago on a number of exhaust systems. Search should find them. I always ran cats, either stock or high flow, so I can't comment about the difference with test pipes. This is California and there are laws against removing cats. Some places actually enforce them. Also, I actually like breathing clean air and don't want to be a hypocrite.
