In Reply To Trial custom EGR delete on a spare plenum. Has anyone posted by 600ZXR on August 02, 2008 at 04:57 PM

Message I read it from someone else, but the easy to way to do it is to get a 3/8 NPT tap. Then tap the hole with the plenum right side up so the shavings fall down (you'll still need to make sure it's free and clear of shavings). Then get a 3/8 NPT hex key pipe plug from mcmaster part number 50785K114 only $1.77. The only down side is that taps go for around 30 bucks so if you're doing a bunch of egr deletes, then this is well worth it.

Additionally, for plugging the egr pipe on the exhaust manifold, I normally give Bernie a call and order one from him. It's a crazy metric size, something like m24 @ 1.25 (but don't quote me on that)

It's an easy inexpensive way to do the egr delete.
