| Those are two wildly different cars for daily driving and the main factor you're looking at is gas mileage? That just seems strange! However, the 2+2 in good running shape and depending on your foot should get better mileage although not much more. The LS1s (again, depending on how hard you drive it) actually get fairly decent mileage for being 5.7L V8s. If you factor in needing 87 octane for the LS1 and 91 for the 2+2, it just might even be cheaper to operate the TransAm as long as that torquey V8 doesn't entice you into full throttle stop-light takeoffs.
