I've rarely felt so excited and nervous at the same time. As I went up the street about four blocks to get some gas in her, it seemed that everyone was coming out of an alley or turning out in front of me. I've never seen so many people on the stretch of road at the same time. Its been the joke of all my friends that the first time out, I'd get in a wreak with it. Some friends I know. I went out with my entire parts list all at once. That's a lot of upgrades and new parts to test at once. Maybe not the smartest thing I've done. It starts hard and makes some unknown sounds at first. Stops that and runs like crap. I have to rev it a few times and stay on the gas to around three grand to keep it running. It acts like its on three cylinders till you hit the gas and rpms come up. After about 35-40 seconds it finally Idles on its own with an occasional stumble. It tries to die at stop lights or idle up to two grand. Sound like Idle Air problem maybe. Some Z owners have problems with idle because of the Doolz? The 13'' rotors with EBC green stuff pads are great so far. So much better braking than my Slicktop. Oddly it it feels much lighter rolling off the line that the N/A too. Thought the lower gearing in the N/A would be better than the TT out of the gate. I received so many looks. A guy was walking up his sidewalk, turned his head and seen me/the car and his whole body came around. He watched me a ways up the street. Another guy that pasted me on the highway on his crotch rocket. He kept looking back at me then turned around on his bike and stared for a quarter to a half mile. "Hey buddy, I'll watch the traffic for ya". He probably wanted a race. Nope, I need a tune and clutch broken in amongst the motor. All in all, a nice milestone in the projects progress. Lots of bugs to work out with research and testing. Thanks for reading and thanks for all the support TT.net members. I felt my partial triumph was worth a post. The drive was only 14 miles all together and I still didn't mention everything.
