Message I went with a similar setup to the one stated. my TT is also a 1990 with 107k on the clock. I did GT525 Z1 4-bolt DP's, Z1 ecu, Greddy profect spec B EBC, Doolz, and a few other things.

looking back on it I keep wishing I had spent a little extra for the JWT530BB's over the GT525. The reasoning is that they are similar price, but the JWT's from what I understand were designed to be the way they are from the get go in order to flow better, be more efficient, and have less lag. The Z1 model however is I think a remanufacured stock unit with larger turbine and compressor jammed into it and the housings machined out to accomodate them. This means they are laggier than they should be, they lose efficiency at a lower PSI, and they probably dont have the longevity. This is all speculation, and the GT525's are not slouchers by any means, but I just feel I coulda been happier if I had just spent a little more.

I'm also dissatisfied with my choice in the doolz wishing I had again gone with the JWT dual pop, possibly with a second live MAF. my only reasoning is that I dont like the chrome finish on the doolz, and it makes the filters hang down too far resulting in the need for some hack job flowerpot mod in some cirumstances.

Also for injector's I dont really see a downside to going with NISMO 740's over the 555's, there a little bit cheaper and give you the best bet for not hitting a fuel delivery wall later on if you start going for more power. The only downside is the 740's are only available in the newer style which requires a new fuel rail, but I think most will agree when upgrading injectors even if you do stick with the 555's you still dumb for not updating the rail.

sorry for the book.....
