is night and day. I noticed a vast difference in response. All of a sudden, the car just wants to get up and go! Just imagine this, the wastegate starts opening up with every psi increase. So say you hit 2-3 psi, it has already started opening up, bleeding off the exhaust already. Basically, it creeps open slowly and then fully opens once the psi setting for the actuator is hit. Now, with an EBC, it holds the wastegate shut longer and then regulates the air going to the wastegate actuator with a solenoid or stepper motor as target boost (i.e. set point) is approached. You adjust the gain setting on a boost controller to control how fast or slow it starts regulating.
