the amount of boost available. With a boost controller, especially with stock turbos and a few mods, boost comes on FAST. Response is much better than with boost jets. It can be a bit surprising if you're not careful. The ability to set the boost higher or lower is a convenience, but it is also a safety measure. When it is raining, setting the controller lower (or off) really makes it less likely to get away from you. If you don't believe me (or anyone else telling you otherwise, even though you asked), then feel free to use that as justification for not spending the money on an EBC.
