but it's not recommended. If it's just for a second you may be alright, but keep this in mind: if anything gets sucked into that turbo inlet pipe... Also, sometimes if a motor has been sitting for a while, it takes a while to get it started. A while meaning several minutes or more, so it may heat up while you're trying to get it running properly, and you could still suck something up through the turbo inlet pipe while tinkering with it. A lot of the guys who buy the JDM motors have to let the motor run for a while after initial startup and tinker with it because it has issues from sitting, i.e. clogged injectors, corroded connectors from reused electronic parts, etc. Thus, your results from starting it up for a minute or so may be relatively inconclusive. I would recommend just putting everything together; at the least complete the intake piping even if you don't reinstall the radiator.
