| You can substitute boost jets for the electronic boost controller, apparently they are more or less welding tips inserted into the vacuum lines that run to the wastegate actuators on the turbos. You don't NEED intercoolers, but you will run cooler intake temperatures if you do, which is a good thing as far as the "safety net" philosophy is concerned. Short answer, no to both. But you will have to have either the boost jets or the EBC if you want to install that chip.
