Message i have a set of rfl bov's but with a jwt ecu and boost jets. I see where he is going with the question. Under higher boost levels at around 14 psi the bovs open and vent loudly. But when the turbos reach about 9 psi under low load conditions and you snap the throttle shut, it is almost like they dont vent at all and compressor surge is occurring. Since i purchased mine and the have been on the car they seem like they have broken in a bit. you can hear them vent softly at lower loads now. Make sure the vacuum connection to the top of the bov has no leaks as this helps to assist with sealing under boost conditions, and opening the valve body under vac conditions. I made sure the o-rings in mine sealed completely and also lubed the inside of the valve chamber with a little engine oil to help ease with them opening. Seemed to work out just fine, i think youll be ok.
