I known, I know they are not as efficient as the stock recirculation valves. However, I converted my Z without a front clip so I have no recirc valves to install. I purchased the Z1 Motorsports RFL blow-off valves, and installed them. Even with no washers installed, they did not open at stock boost, so I clipped the springs inside. Now they open if I bring the RPM's up to about 3000-3500 but do not if I don't reach that level. Is this safe, or do I still have compression surge? If this is unsafe, then do I just raise the boost level permanently to avoid the compression surge? Just looking for info from people who have these valves installed to see if this is normal operation or not, and what I may or may not have to do...thank you for your help - ROB
