Even with the fan off, the vents let in air, and I believe it adjusts the mix of engine-heated air and ambient based on the temp you have set (so if you have it on 90 but off, you'll still be getting hot air). You'll also get warmth radiating from the center console. Feel around the shifter, or pull your ashtray and see if that's what you're feeling. If I put my hand over the edges of the ashtray it feels quite warm, and I'm an NA that never strays the slightest bit above center on the temp gauge.
