Well, you have a couple of choices. You can go to the library and read up on acoustics, speaker-building theory and techniques, and car audio installation. Or you can find a reputable car audio store and talk to them. The 2nd option will cost you more but you will most likely end up with a better system. The big problem is that there is a lot of myths and misinformation about audio, and a LOT of opinions on what sounds the best and which equipment is better, not to mention opinions on how much amplifier power is "adequate." IASCA used to put out a good basic primer on car audio, covering the basics of sound, the various components that make up a car audio system, and information on installation. I assume that they still provide that information, maybe even on their website. Good luck.
