Message Many have been pondering this question for a while. I know a lot of people on this forum either daily drive their Z's or track their cars every so often to where a BBK is not necessary.
So the question is now which brake kit to buy? There are a few options out there. For instance you could go with a 350z track rotor adapter kit, which Coz sells for $450. Or you can go with the Stoptech rotor kit which Coz also sells for $750. Well I decided to go with something a little different. This kit was the perfect price for what you got. It also had the least amount of pad hang off which most people tend to over look when looking to buy brake kits.

Matt Pool is an awesome guy. If you drive a Z and live in Northern California, especially Sacramento chances are you have either met him or know about him. He is an amazing mechanic and runs his own shop. He also come out with his own brake kit which includes: 2 rotors, 2 Willwood hats, 2 relocation brackets and all the mounting hardware needed.

Well I purchased the brake kit and installed it mysel with the help of my buddy Paolo (Jspeckid). I also bought SPL teflon coated lines and Brake master cylinder brace (HUGE THANKS to Kip at Driven Authority for getting me the part on such short notice. Kip is great guy to deal with and his prices are very very fair. Also his product turn around time is amazing.) I bought 94tt 30mm calipers because I have a 90na and the 26mm calipers just don't cut it. When I got the calipers I rebuilt them right away with new seals and new hardware.

Anyway the brake kit is fairly simple to put on it took us about a couple of hours the only difficult part was to remove the brake dust shield.

These are the cooling vanes on the rotor itself.

At first we tried to use a hack saw to remove the brake dust shield. That didn't work so we ended up just ripping it off.

It took a little common sense to see that the relocation bracket does not go in front of the hub hehe. (The good thing about this kit is that you can still use stock wheels)

It has been about a week since putting everything on, and I have to say it is amazing. The pedal response is great as well as braking itself. Going from a 90NA (26mm) to 94TT (30mm) calipers with this brake kit, teflon lines, and brake master cylinder brace is ridiculous. I love it! I recommend this kit to ANYONE! You will not be disappointed.

I can not of done everything without the help of Matt Pool of MATTZ Garage, Kip at Driven Authority, My best friend Paolo (jspeckid) his Z knowledge and attention to detail is amazing and anyone that knows him can second that. I wanted to thank Joe Pecenka (Tplsz) he sold me his 94tt calipers and also sent me a $20 check to cover the missing parts that were not included, that he price matched on courtesy.

Thanks for reading
