Message based soley on the sound. You need to do some kind of diagnostics first. I had a *knock* once that practically everyone who heard it, told me that it was a bearing, including folks who knew a heck of a lot more than me about these cars. Sounded as if it was coming from the lower end, too. Turned out to be a lifter tick. Cured with a new set of lifters.
