| it already had a keyless entry system installed by good guys. Everything was thrown together so poorly. They connected the bare minimum of wires in order to get the doors to unlock. In order to avoid the factory alarm going off every time you unlock the doors they simply shorted out the hood switch which in return would prevent the factory alarm from ever arming. On top of that the way they mounted the actuator on the drivers side door was absolutely unacceptable. It came loose with in a few uses and never worked again. You may get lucky with a good installer. But in my experience they usually don't give a **** about your car and are only interested in getting your car in and out as fast as possible. There are a few good post on alarm installs on the z that I could dig up for you if you like. I found them very useful along with the FSM.
