When I asked for the benefits, the simple answer (or at least the conclusion I am drawing) is because you can look up to see how many of a specific trim of car, ie...'91 Yellow pearlgow 5spd TT, are left in the US....assuming the registry is maintained. Maybe this is common knowledge for car registries, well I didn't know that. This is the first car I have owned worth even having a registry (subjective), so if you want people to jump on board spell out why it is a good idea, instead of assuming we already know. If we already knew, we'd already be registered wouldn't we?
