I am in the process of enhancing my Z's athletic performance, if you know what I mean. But so far probably close to 75% of the money that I spent on my car was for replacing older and/or worn parts because I want to rule out nasty surprises. Like fuel components, bearings, hoses, suspension, body electrical parts, radiator, oil cooler, powertrain, 60,000 mile timing belt kit, EFI wiring harness, etc. Right now the driveshaft needs to be replaced, and at some point the engine will probably be rebuilt. Before bigger turbos are added to the mix for sure.
