of water as a clay lube. Also be sure to throw away your clay bar if you drop it. Cut your bar into smaller pieces and mold it into a pancake. Use light pressure with the clay bar molded to the tip area of your fingers. Move the bar in a back and forth motion as the wind would travel over the car. Don't try and clay in circles.
Knead the clay often by folding it over onto itself and reforming it as it becomes dirty. This will keep the contaminants from the paint surface and force it into the clay.
