Here is the situation. I had my Chevelle taken in to be restored 4 years ago, in Alabama. The guy that was working on it died a year and a half ago. He had bought many parts, including the shell of another car. We do not have receipts for him getting the parts. We gave him the funds and he bought the parts. We had to coordinate with an outside (one of his other clients) individual to get the car and the parts we purchased. The body man's widowed wife did not want us grabbing the wrong parts. We call the widowed wife to coordinate a time to pick up the vehicle. Time is set for this morning, then the trouble... I get a call from her daughter saying we need to bring down 5000 for storage fees. The deceased never charged storage fees, and I don't even think he had a liscensed business. I beleive his step daughter is getting green eyes.... I couldn't even talk to the late man's wife, the same one that said come on down to grab the vehicles. I'm callng my lawyer in the morning, but any input would be appreciated.
