| there's two ways this could happen. - Wires that run down from the top cap to the coil assembly pass thru some grommets that come into contact with the fuel. If they start to leak (or deteriorate) due to the ethanol - that's one way for fuel to get into the coil. - Others think that maybe the plastic that protects coils (and is in contact with the fuel) breaks down over time and lets fuel get to the coil. Again, ethanol may speed up this failure? - Some also believe that the constant 12 volts always applied to the injectors (even with car off) speeds up the effects of ethanol on the coil/plastic. My Z has this power switched off -- so far injectors have been good for over a year. If good for another year I might believe this mod helps???
