Message term "smooth transaction" is debatable if it took twice as long as was promised for the product to be delivered. Not to mention there were numerous posts from people asking if anyone had received their seat covers which seems to imply customer notification was lacking.

I'm just stating the facts as I've observed to counter the "smooth transaction" statement you made. You seemed to be the atypical situation where your car was down for work besides just the seat covers. Other people ordered with the expectation of getting their products in 2 months - possibly to take advantage of their cars being parked for the winter to get the covers installed before the good driving weather came around. This delay means they now have to find time to get the covers installed during the driving season. For some, I can see that this would be a significant inconvenience while for others it's not as much of an issue.
