| A failing driveshaft will produce anything from a mild clunk when changing direction to a constant vibration and leaking from the back of the transmission and front of the rear differential. If you decide to replace it you have a few options: You can get the stock one rebuilt and rebalanced, though I've not had much luck with this route and it costs almost as much as a new driveshaft. You can get a new OEM driveshaft. You can get an aftermarket 1 piece, I don't know of anyone making a two piece except Nissan. There are a lot of places to get driveshafts, be it a local shop or an off the shelf item from a vendor. Z1, AMZ, MWS, and one or two other Z vendors carry them. Or you could go to a place like Precision Shaft Technologies and get just about whatever you need made out of steel, aluminum or carbon fiber. I bought the MWS driveshaft because it was cheaper than the Z1 and the MWS brake kit I bought was very high quality. I've got some miles on it now and it's dead smooth. That would be my recommendation if the shaft does need to be replaced.
