I recently ordered a Braille battery and also thought about getting their "Battery Protector." Here's a link: [ http://www.brailleauto.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=5&idproduct=18 ] It automatically disconnects the battery if it senses a draw. I also was attracted to it because it comes with a key fob which one can use to remotely disconnect and re-connect the battery. My first thoughts were that this would be a good security feature, as well as preserving the battery. Then I thought more about it......Everytime I disconnect the battery, the ECU will be reset and it may not show codes or trigger the "check engine" light if there is a problem, so probably not a good idea to be constantly disconnecting the battery. Am I thinking correctly?
