| Well, today was supposed to be the day I installed this:
My clutch is slipping pretty bad. It rides okay as long as I am steady and only going about 60 mph but any other effort and it slips. Alex (DoodMon) came over to my place today to help me with the clutch install. We drove to Wal-Mart for some gear oil and then went to the base to the Auto Hobby Shop to use the lift and tools. We got there and had the worst time trying to get the exhaust off. We managed to get it all off but it cost me my studs.

After finally getting the exhaust & driveshaft off , we attempted to get the passenger precat off as the write-up says to do. We got the 2 nuts off but could only manage to get 1 of the top bolts off. The other one was stuck on and wasn't going anywhere. By this time, we had been working on stubborn 15 year old fused bolts for about 4 or 5 hours. In the end, we decided to give up. The Hobby Shop had a decent selection of tools but they were missing a few things we needed. We threw in the towel and put it all back together (minus 5 exhaust bolts). Right now, my exhaust is back together with a major leak where the precat meets the pipe. I guess I'll just have to fork over the money and pay for labor somewhere. It sucks because I'm already out $28 in Hobby Shop fees and $16 in gear oil (thankfully, I didn't buy Redline like I wanted to). For those of you that have paid for a clutch replacement, how much does it normally run? I'm about to start calling places tomorrow. The down side is that I won't have the money for that until I get back from deployment towards the end of the year. Until then, it will be parked in the garage.
