Just repaired one this week actually. They always break in the same fashion when the top isn't latched properly and they fly up going down the road. Sometimes it's just because plastic cracks and breaks off the latch catchers. It's always a good idea to make sure those catchers are in good shape and not falling apart like many of them are.
