First off, if you ever get the chance to do this, just do yourself a favor and do it. It was by far the most fun thing I have ever done. This makes the track days I have done before seem like riding a go-kart at the pitch-n-put. It's part endurance racing, part demolition derby, and 100% crazy. The race is held over 2 days, 7 hours or racing a day for a total of around 14 hours on the track in some the most craziest conditions I have seen. All you learned from driving at normal track days are gone, forget trying to drive the line, it's all about survival, and survive we did. Just about every lap there was either a tire on the track, a bumper, a broken down car, thick clouds of dust from people going off the track, you name it, it was there, including lots and lots of lemons. The first day we just rotated drivers every 20 minutes, but by the second day, when we realized we were still in it and sitting around 25th, we decided to use some strategy with the pitting to save time and increase our laps. It worked beautifully and we finished 13th overall, which ain't bad ([ http://mylaps.com/results/newResults.jsp?id=687951 ] "team size matters sacramento"). The most amazing thing was that after almost 14 hours of racing the 1st and 2nd place teams finished within 7 seconds of each other. I would say at least 20-30 cars didn't manage to finish out of the 100 or so that entered. The reason varied, but always ugly, whether it was a thrown rod, blown engine, blown clutches, into the wall, flipped, t-boned, losing wheels and still trying to drive on the hub, raditors destroyed, bent axles, trying to pass the hurst and failing miserabley, or being crushed by a earth mover because everybody thought you were dicks. I can't really describe what it was like other than nuts and an increadible amount of fun, so, here's some pics, enjoy. The car:

So this guy, if you look, he has toilet paper on his car, throughout the race, when you were doing something stupid, they would black flag you and punish you, this guy was a shitty driver, so, they welded the tp on his car for all to see :) Later on, they welded spikes on this plate on the front of his car that rested right on his radiator, so if he bumped another person hard again, bye bye radiator.

 Now this is the best, so at the race, all the teams vote for the team they disliked the most, bascially the guys being dicks. Well, this team won, I think it was part they were driving like assholes, and part they brought a 7 series to the race and tried to pass it off as a $500 car. They got it "free" they said, yeah right. Well, here's what happened to the car sunday afternoon:
 
Now what's even more shocking, they managed to get back and race it about 2 hours later. They bascially cut off all the sheet metal, the car was kinda bent from it dropping a few times, but hey, gotta give em credit. I wish I would have gotten a picture of the car when they brought it back out, it was pretty damn hillarious.
