Powdercoating kit = ~$100 Add time for: Cutting and welding the pipes (since you would be doing it that way) Grinding down the welds Checking and fixing leaks Bead Rolling Cutting/beadrolling/welding the BOV/Recirc pipes Powdercoating all parts Just the rough price doing it yourself comes out to $720 if you already have the general fabrication equipment (welder, chop-saw or band saw, bead roller) and you'll need a dedicated oven for the powdercoating. I spent around a grand for my welder, $140 for the chopsaw, and $420 for my bead roller. I dont do any powdercoating here but even throwing in the used oven for free, you're adding another $1500 to the bottom line for you to make these yourself. Even if you borrow the welder and have your buddy powdercoat them for you, getting a good bead roller for the pipe ends wont come as borrowed tooling.
