Message Hi,

I'm not very familiar with all the different aftermarket turbos that are available for the 300zx now, I haven't kept up with it for a while. I think I have messed up my turbos, and need to replace them. I have replaced them myself once before, it is tedious and time consuming work, so this time I want to get something good. All I see on here, is the 800+ RWHP ball bearing turbos, and that seems a little too much power for me.

I'm looking for something with around 500-600 or so RWHP, but I want to use factory bolt pattern (4-bolt) on both sides of the turbine housing unless the kit comes with adaptors. My biggest concern is where the turbo kicks in though. I know there was this kind that was made of boring out the stock turbo housing and putting in bigger compressor/turbine wheels in them (T-25/28 or something like that ?), and I heard someone complained about those once, that you couldn't feel the power until you were already going 90-100 mph, I believe it was described as "lots of forplay and a 1 second climax", anyway, I'd like to find something a little more like the stocks, something that would kick in at relatively low rpm, like 2000-3000, but that would produce more power at the high end than the stocks, not bottom out at like 15 psi or so. I already have a lot of the other upgrades (full downpipe-testpipe-Stillen cat back exhaust, 555 cc injectors, ECU, boost controller, clutch and a few other things) and I would be willing to upgrade my intercoolers too if required for this.

So the important things to me are:
- Fits factory hardware (unless hardware is included in the kit to make them fit)

- Low to mid power band, not extremely high, I don't want to be going 100 before I feel the turbos kick in

- Capable of high max HP or boost, maybe 500-600 RWHP or 25+ psi of boost, but not 36 like the ones they sell here.

If anyone knows of any NEW turbo kits that fit this description, please let me know. I don't think I'll buy used or rebuilt turbos again, I just don't seem to get very far with them. If they are new, at least I know if I did or didn't do anything wrong when I was installing them.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions
