I knew someone who worked at a dealership, he told me that one was towed in because of an engine fire. Try to start it, and nothing. Nothing at all. Of course! What would you expect? So I guess they set it aside for a while, trying to figure out exactly how to approach it, while getting the priorities out of the way (I assume this wasn't the owner's DD). They decide to send it somewhere else for something, I'm not sure what, but there were other cars surrounding it, and there wasn't any way they could get/tow the car out; they supposedly lost a set of keys to the car parked a few feet in front of it (which they later found), and behind the Z, was a wall. One of the guys there says What The Heck, Let's See If It'll Start, despite the fact that the top of the whole engine compartment was a gruesome, oozing mess, and had been sitting for a little over a week. Sure enough, though, on the first attempt, that bad boy started right up, and it had sounded perfect. I was there watching that whole shebang: somehow, some way, it had the power to take itself to the tow truck, parked just outside of the service department. It was a very touching moment, and I was very mystified by it. That instance pretty much solidified and reinforced my love and respect for the z32.
