Message Inc.'s "how to." So I'm a bit familiar with what it takes to get a brilliant shine on a plenum.. However, in some ceramic coating descriptions the piece is blasted with 100 to 120 mesh grit, but I think this is only done for cleaning (rust, paint, grease, e.g.) prior to coating. This blasting made me think that polishing with fine grits and buffing with tripoli and rouge may be a waste of time. Certainly the best people to ask about what finish to have prior to coating are those who actually do it (the coating), but I just thought I'd throw the grit question out there.

Car speed road calling / bird freed leaf falling / we can bide time.
