Message How are you hooking it up to teh engine if everything is capped off? You still have to have hoses and connection points. Regardless, possible boost leaks are the least of the worries with either system. It's not even worth thinking about when trying to decide which way to go.

To me, even if you are using a catch can you should still be using the function of the pcv valves. The catch can should simply just cut inline of the system to catch/store the oil. Run hose from valve cover into catch can, out of catch can to pcv valve.

I'll take replacing some cheap pcv valves over removing oil from my engine when tracking the car. I see no benefit at all of the catch can over the reroute.
