He didnt mention a standalone, but given those mods, it would be well advised to have one. boostedzxtt---It's been known here quite awhile that you run richer with the BOVs during shifts. And it's not exactly a good "bang for buck mod." But I dont think they are just noisemakers. When I had a Z32 years ago, the very first mod I ever did was BOVs and right away noticed how quicker the turbos spooled after shifts.
