Message The engine reacts to values that the MAF reads based on air coming in. When the BOV goes off, some of that air is discharged, but the engine still runs as though it was there, injecting the appropriate fuel, which causes a very rich condition. It is generally not that big of a deal, but recircs are better if they are easy to implement in the same setup.
