Ever since my piston melted when I went lean on my Supra I wanted to find a away to protect my self when something goes wrong. My Iridium plugs keept firing even after my piston melted. They work very well I must say. I didnt want the same thing to happend to my Z under long freeway pulls on cold nights. So I wanted to use Standard style plugs. After talking to NGK tech they gave me the part BKr7e which is 2 ranges cooler then stock.
The tech also told me that running standard plugs over iridium may not help by giving out first. Has anyone saved a motor by running these type of spartplugs or know of people that have?
