| Ready for a story? Ahem, today driving back from school as I got off the freeway I noticed a clutch like smell. My first thought was a clutch because it is old and it smelled like.. clutch. Well I drove on, came home, got ready, and started the Z up to go to the gym. Now I noticed a squeeling. Higher with more pitch as rpms increased. Sounded like a supercharger. Coming back from the gym same thing! Squeeling. I get home check belts, and at first it sounds like a bad tensioner. Then I thought maybe the timing belt. I put my hand on it and it was rough. Sure a timing belt could make this noise. The timing belt isnt that old though (2 yrs 25,000k miles) so I started to rule it out. Then all of a sudden the noise got really bad more squeeling. I literally ran over and shut off the motor. I said lemme research this first before I turn this thing back on. Now thanks to tt.net I came on here and typed in search: squeeling timing belt. I get hits about how they can make the same noise I am describing. So I pulled one bolt on the timing belt cover and.... OMFG. It looks like a dog was chewing the thing up. I almost needed a motor.

I'm going to call this one karma... or luck. Luck that I caught it before I needed a motor and karma because I chipped in 5 bucks here for the run raiser and search showed me exactly what I needed to see!!!!!
