| 1- no snow You asked, "why not?" - not "why not for my specific instance?" Believe it or not, it does snow in places where you do not live, thus a DD is warranted. 2- have and will again haul a lot of stuff in it(otherwise borrow parents Xterra for other extremely rare occasions like moving) Not everyone's parents own a truck and live next door. Crazy, I know. 3- I'd rather keep my masculinity in the Z than rock a Prius. As it is, my car is still cheaper than it would have been to buy any new car. And the money saved can go towards that premium gas. Last time I checked, there are more options for DDs than the Prius. Furthermore you don't have to buy a new car for a DD, you can buy a nice used car. Mine cost $1200, get 40 mpg, and a new set of tires costs about $200 installed. 4- rains a lot down here, no accidents due to rain or other "ugly" weather. If you drive smart chances of getting into an accident in the rain is equal to any other car. Any other RWD vehicle, sure. FWD and AWD vehicles are much safe in the rain. If you drive like an ass hole, then its probably better not to drive a z for the z's sake thank you come again. Does the same recommendation follow for posting like an asshole?
