| specifically said its NOT for the 2nd or 3rd order harmonics that all piston engines have. Also another interesting bit when i asked him why they designed the VG with such narrow rod journals - He told me that the VG design has issues with harmonics when crank length when its increased more than its current length and the current length worked the best given the v angle, bore, stroke and rpm they were planning for the motor.  The guy is high up in Nissan engineering dept so he does know what he was saying. Harry
