Break less from what i've seen due to less moving parts and simpler design. Cummins has been using them on there ISX motor for 6-7 years now to complement their egr system. Kinda funny how a turbo is used for emissions in the diesel world lately. I mean Cat even had a sequencial turbo setup on their ACCERT engines so they wouldn't have to run a EGR. Well untill next years when the emissions laws for diesels change again.
