| Message | In some ways, that why they must work together. But don't mistaken designers for just the aesethetics. Even if they design the concept or physical appearence of things doesn't mean they know shit about how the object works, I.E. the engineering aspect. That's why it pays to have degrees in engineering and design so the product will be the ultimate solution in terms of performance and aesthetics. But of course that a lot of work and that's why the engineers relys on the designer and vice versa. He should have inquired a designer to help develop his car but instead he ended up with a fugly bettle with some huge diameter pipe hanging outside his car. If it were left only to the engineers to make the Z, it would not be the beauty we all enjoy today. Engineers get too much credit when it comes to who made this car. "The engineers perfected the interior to be ergonomic," chances are the interior was developed by a designer and the engineer was called in for electronics and mechanical problems. The designers are the ones who draw up the first concept and the interior and such. The engineers are meant to work with the concept and see if it is possible and give feedback. If left alone, the engineers for the Z would have turned it into the Skyline or even worse (Not to say the skyline is a horrible car, but it's more of a technological marvel and no where near a design statement). Plain and simple. You don't get it? You don't have to, all you have to do is pay money and drive the car, that's your world then.
