Is the air going from the turbos to the intercoolers hotter than the under-hood ambient air?

The air going from the intercoolers to the throttle bodies is probably cooler than the under-hood temps, so I would think the more-insulating silicon would do better there.

Again, I don't think it would make any difference... I'm just curious. Less clamps and ease of removal make the silicon hoses more than worth it to me.
