I have the craftsman 3.5 ton. It is excellent for sliding under the rear diff and lifting the entire back of the car: It came with the jack stands and also a creeper. I got tired of the metal "bowl" leaving paint on my rear diff, so I bought this accessory from Eastwood.com : Works great. The "stem" is a little longer than I wanted, but it otherwise fits fine and I feel better about how I'm treating the Z. My g.f. bought me this smaller 2.25 ton craftsman jack for my birthday: It is not short enough to get under the front lip of the car. I need to roll up on a ramp, which I don't have. I tried rolling up on boards but they slide forward and frustrate me. Still working on a solution here. I recently bought this gizmo from Eastwood.com: It lets me use the jack at the factory jack point on the side of the car. Maddeningly, I can't get under the side skirt unless the car is somehow elevated. (With the original craftsman bowl, I think I can get under the skirt, but then the car might slip off the jack. That side jack point is really small, so you need that "fin" to grip your jack.) My current procedure is to use the big jack at the diff, put concrete blocks under the rear tires and lower the car. Then I can jack up the front of the car with the little jack one side at a time. Alternately, roll up on a couple boards and concrete blocks at the front and use the big jack at the front center support brace. As you can see, I have the makings of a good setup, but it just hasn't come together for me yet. Good, collapsable ramps would make things much better...or a slightly-lower little jack. I might try to modify it in the future.
