Okay, my turn to pic whore for the Z Car Nationals. I have 450 + pictures or so and a writeup.... Big brakes anyone? These were taken from our drive down the 5. The first picture is of Abel's 6 piston Willwoods and then followed by Kev's and my Porsche 993 TT Brembo brake system.
Group shots... Our Zs have surrounded my friend's G35 and are holding it hostage.
Here we are at the NHRA Motorsports Museum. We got front row center parking and they let us leave our cars here while touring the museum. Thank you Sherry at the museum for taking care of our car club.
How's this for an open differential. Check out the myriad of safety features on this race car...
Parked in front of Super Autobacs...
Street legal JDM right hand drive Lancer EVO V anyone?
At the Motorsport dinner at the Citrus Cafe...
Sunday morning before the car show. The rain sure sucked. It was coming down pretty good... My HIDs trying to cut through the rain...
Illuminated J-spec center panel in action:
In line at Motorsport. No Seedy, I wasn't first this year. I was second in line. :-(
My new hinged J-spec license plate holder in the stealth location inside the front bumper. Looks much better when the bumper is shaved.
Crowds of peeps at the show who braved the morning rains and then enjoyed the afternoon sunshine.
Clean 96 TT vert.
We all know who this car belongs to...
This 350Z's color scheme didn't go well with me. I just don't care for body colored wheels.... stock wheels at that.
My friends cars. Mario's 510 and Craig's 510 respectively. Mario was recently in Monster Garage when they built the Bumblebee Datsun B210 drifter...
I really don't know what comments to make about this car. I don't want to degrade anyone. I hope he's not a member of TT.net. I just don't know what to say.... It made me want to cry very bad. If he likes it, then more power to him.
This Brickyard 350 Z won best paint of show with his stock paint and ghost flames.
Nice 240Z powered by an RB25DET.
Dr. Dean's 600 HP monster, aka CanAceU I think.
This guy's got an SR20DET stuffed into the engine bay of this 240Z. The amazing thing about it was that he fabricated an entire S13 dashboard and center console into this car.
260Z with a 350Z drivetrain transplant.
This Z looked good till I saw the cowcatchers. Still trying to figure out their purpose besides chopping off your legs at the ankles.
Bomex widebody Z.
Clean NA engine bay.
I believe this NA won best Z32 modified.
This guy modeled his 280ZX after Speed Racer's car. I believe he won best 280ZX modified.
Vince's TT.
Mikey's TT.
Chuck's TT, father of CaptanZap
Kev's TT
Glenn's TT
Salah's NA (Zster Big Red) with his 19s. Give him grief cuz he didn't want to bring his TT down to SoCal. He was worried of rock chips even though he has a 3M invisibra installed. I had my Llumar invisibra installed and I drove my car.
Yuichi's 350Z with custom fabricated and soon to be offered fiberglass vented hood.
My Z of course with the newly IPOD mount in the trunk which is controlled by my Alpine IVA-D900.
Rob and Kyle trying to hijack my TT.
I think God looked down at me and smiled. ;-)
The Lotus Elise club parked at a hotel at Buttonwillow. They must have had a track day.
My Alpine IVA-D900 was definitely my bestfriend when negotiating the maze of freeways in SoCal. I had a blast this weekend with my friends. Hope you enjoyed the pictures. The rest of them and the writeup is here at: [ http://www.speedyzx.com/UZW2K5/042205/UZW2K5day1.html ] There are 3 pages of pictures and writeups. Hope your computer still works after loading all the pictures above. ;-P
