one being belt stretch. in an accident, your belts stretch. by trippling the length of the belt, you increase its potential for max stretch over the shoulder harnesses hold you back. lap harnesses hold you down submarine harnesse(s) hold your pelvis back. you COULD do it, but it really wouldn't be recommended. the closer the harness bar is to your shoulder blades, the safer you are.
